Fine, cool and windy weather forecast this weekend

Update: 3:12PM FINE, cool and windy weather is forecast across the country this weekend following the rain and wind brought by Severe Tropical Cyclone Keni earlier this week.
Following its passage out of Fiji waters, the weather forecasting centre in Nadi says that a high pressure that is to the far Southwest was responsible for the sunny and dry conditions currently prevailing over the country.
The centre said this weather gave much needed relief for those in clean-up mode after Severe TC Keni.
The high pressure will bring a cool change and strong Southeasterly winds over the Fiji group this weekend and most days of next week.
Subsequently, the weatherman says the strong wind warning remains in force for all land areas of Fiji and waters of Fiji and Rotuma.
This will keep the daytime temperature in moderation and the night-time temperatures falling below 21 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas.
The temperatures in the highlands of the larger islands, that is in areas like Nadarivatu and Monasavu, could drop even lower than 18 degrees Celsius.
