SOME Fijian nationals living in Tscukuba, Japan, had a get together to celebrate Fiji’s Constitution Day in their adopted country.

Paula Nawalu, formerly of Nasalai in Rewa and now living in Japan, gave his best wishes to everyone in Fiji to commemorate the special day.

“It’s our home away from home. A happy Constitution Day. It’s my pleasure to announce that we are here to celebrate our Fiji Constitution day here in Tscukuba,” Mr Nawalu said.

He said the Fiji recipients of the JICA Pacific Leads scholarships also joined the Fijian community in the celebrations.

Special Fijian dishes, yaqona, sigidrigi and talanoa sessions took place to mark the special day in the Fijian calendar.
