Fiji weightlifting coach to referee at world junior championships

WEIGHTLIFTING coach and referee Della Shaw-Elder has been invited to officiate at the 2018 International Weightlifting Federation World Junior Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
This was confirmed by the Weightlifting Fiji general secretary Ritesh Ratiram.
“This is Della’s first invitation by IWF to referee at the world level. Previously, Della has been a referee at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and other International and regional competitions,” Ratiram said.
Shaw-Elder had recently officiated at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, after she officiated at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu, last year.
The 2018 International Weightlifting Federation World Junior Championships in Tashkent will be held in July.
