THE Fiji rugby under 18 is now focused on the duty that is ahead of them in the next two weeks when they will compete in the school boy’s championship in Wellington, New Zealand.

The team departed the capital city yesterday and will leave for New Zealand on Thursday to play their first friendly match against the under 18 Wellington Samoa in the evening.

Fiji under 18 coach Noca Baleitoga said the boys were ready to deliver well in this tournament and showcase what they had been taught during training.

“We have prepared well in the past few weeks and the boys are ready to play their first game in this tournament,” said Baleitoga.

“We have been working on our ruck areas because it is where the New Zealand school boys’ team will counter us on and also our set pieces that is where they will try to win the ball from us.”

The team will play their first pool game on Monday against the Wellington Samoan, and then the New Zealand Barbarians in their second match before they take on New Zealand Maori in their last pool game.
