THE Vodafone Fiji under 16 team departed the country this morning to participate at the International Youth Football Invitational Tournament in Shanghai, China.
The tour will be a good build-up for the U16 World Cup Qualifier scheduled in the Solomon Islands in September.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said the tour would enable the coaches to select the best players to represent Fiji at the world cup qualifier.
He said the tournament would be a huge test for the Fijians as they would be battling against professional players.
