THE Fiji Rugby U18 and U16 teams presented their ‘itatau’ to the President of Fiji, Major General(Ret’d) Jioji Konrote, at Borron House today.

The President addressed the players on how important their respective tours will be.

“I can assure it will be a very sharp learning curve for most of you in terms of gaining more experiences,”Mr Konrote said.

“All essential matches will be important qualifying games, against Australian and New Zealand teams who will field players who are young like you, equally fit and determined.

“You have to win your test matches.”

The under 18 boys head to New Zealand on a three-match tour against the U18 New Zealand Barbarians, U18 New Zealand Maoris and the Wellington Samoans beginning on September 27 – October 7,2018.

The under 16 team members head to Australia’s Gold Coast to take part in the 2018 Junior Rugby Championship from September 28 to October 6, 2018.

Both teams will depart later this week.
