MOST of the information printed on the ‘Noda Viti’ newspaper which is circulated by the Fiji Sun newspaper is on development projects.

Permanent secretary for iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua clarified this during his cross examination today by Wylie Clarke who is representing the Fiji Times company in the Fiji Times sedition trial at the High Court in Suva.

Mr Katonitabua had stated in court that most iTaukei communities only read Nai Lalakai newspaper and that most of the issues raised were due to articles or statements in the newspaper.

He however said that ‘Noda Viti’ a vernacular newspaper does not print sensitive issues but projects related to development by government.

The trial continues tomorrow before Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
