Fiji Secondary School Rugby Deans: Cuvu College defeats former champions Ratu Navula

CUVU College secured a hard fought 31-28 win against former Fiji Secondary School Rugby Deans champion Ratu Navula in the Western Zone under 18 competition at Ratu Navula College ground this afternoon.

The host were leading 28-26 before Isireli Vananalagi completed a structured pick and drive phases to dive over for the winning try in the last minute of the game.

Indiscipline affected Ratu Navula’s game with four of their players being sent to the sinbin.

The Nadroga boys did not lose hope despite trailing on the scoresheet and played 80 minutes rugby before being awarded a winning try.

The game was also Ratu Navula’s first loss in the competition while Cuvu continued its unbeaten run after three games.

The top two teams from the West will feature at the national quarter finals.

Meanwhile, France based rugby brothers Josua Tuisova and Filipo Nakosi were also part of the spectators that witnessed the game.
