Fiji Red Cross opens Savusavu branch

MEMBERS of the community in Savusavu turned up in numbers at Nakama this afternoon to witness the opening of the town’s Fiji Red Cross Society branch office. 

Officiating at the opening of the new office Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes lauded lauded the ability of Fijians to stand together as a strong community during time sof disasters adding it said a lot about the spirit of the community in Fiji.

“FRCS is the largest humanitarian organization in Fiji with a major role to play in disaster preparedness and response,” he said.
