THE Fiji Police Force aims to have more than 1000 motorbike riders by 2020.
This was revealed by Director Traffic Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahesh Mishra following the handover of 130 motorbikes to the Force in Suva yesterday.
SSP Mishra said the Force had 200 riders at present.
“We have more than 200 riders that are now riding the police motorbikes and we are looking forward to 1000 riders in the Police Force within the next one year. Probably by 2020, we should have 1000 riders in the Fiji Police Force,” he said.
