Fiji PM appreciates India’s contribution to co-lead MOG

FIJI’S Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama expressed his appreciation for India’s contribution to Fiji, particularly in socio-economic development programs and engagements.

Mr Bainimarama showed his acknowledgement during a bilateral meeting with India’s Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting focused on strong ties the two countries had shared over the years.

Mr Bainimarama noted the island nation’s upcoming national elections, appreciating India’s contribution to co-lead the Multinational Observer Group in November.

Mrs Swaraj acknowledged the importance of India’s engagements with Fiji, particularly at the global level.
