THE 2018 Tattslotto Fiji Open Tennis Championships is set to the top eight men’s seeds from last year’s competition.

The 2017 Open Singles Champions Gilles de Gouy from France and Steffi Carruthers from Samoa have returned to defend their titles.

Fiji’s own and 2015 winner William O’Connell is back to try and win back the title he lost in 2016 and 2017 runner up Junior Benjamin has also returned.

Former French national junior team player Thomas Perrin is one of the favorites for this year’s event.

According to Tennis Fiji development officer Paul Owen this is the biggest tennis event in Fiji and it has been running for over 100 years.

“We have one of the strongest fields in recent years,” he said.
