Fiji marks Nuclear Abolition Day

Update: 3:35PM TODAY, the world celebrates the importance of living without the threat of more nuclear tests, as millions in their respective countries, including Fiji, celebrate International Nuclear Abolition Day.
The day September 26 was appointed Nuclear Abolition Day at the United Nations General Assembly in October last year.
In Fiji, FemLINKPACIFIC and the Pacific Conference of Churches both push for the international community to continue to fight the battle against the use of nuclear weapons on national, regional and international scales.
