Fiji football team loses friendly to Malaysia

THE Vodafone Fiji football side lost its international friendly match going down 1-nil to Malaysia this today.

The host scored the winner in the 20th minute.

National U19 reps Savenaca Baledrokadroka and Ratu Kaliova Dau were sent off the bench in their international debut.

Fiji had numerous goal-scoring opportunities in the game, however, the Bula Boys failed to utilise the opportunities created.

This was a one-match tour by our national side.

Fiji is ranked 165th in the world while Malaysia is ranked 171st.
