DEFENDING champion Rewa wants to cut Labasa players’ freedom to attack in the final of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today.

The Marika Rodu-coached side won the tournament last year after Samuela Kautoga headed in the lone goal against Nadi.

“We want to keep the title for another year and the players have worked hard for that,” Rodu said.

“There is no pressure on the players as they are ready to play their roles in the team as nothing is new for them. They will come out with a right attitude and apply the game plan in the match.

“We have to stop giving them freedom, to move with the ball like we did in the group match.

“The decision the players are going to make are for their benefit and there is a prizemoney for them to win the title.”

The Delta Tigers have scored only two goals in their last four matches in the tournament where striker Setareki Hughes scored one against Ba in the group play and then again he scored the lone goal against Lautoka in the semi-final.

“Nothing is stopping the players from giving their best for Rewa in the final,” he added.
