FIJI Football Association will host its first football symposium for all districts on April 14 at Fiji FA headquarters in Vatuwaqa.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said the aim of the symposium was to educate officials and coaches on Fiji FA’s philosophy. “This will be done to educate the district officials and coaches on how Fiji FA’s philosophy of possession football works and also the responsibility of the coaches to the districts on the coaching structure.”
Yusuf said it was compulsory for all district presidents and coaches to attend.
“It will be a must for all district coaches and presidents to attend the one-day event and if the presidents are not available they can nominate someone on their behalf.
“Our Vodafone Fiji national coach Christophe Gamel and Fiji FA technical director Ravinesh Kumar will facilitate the symposium,” Yusuf said.
Yusuf said this would be done to put everybody in line with Fiji FA’s plans.
“The symposium will also ensure that all the coaches need to be contracted with the districts with specific conditions and players’ discipline will also be discussed.”
The symposium will start at 11.30am after the Fiji FA council meeting and ends at 3pm.
