FIJI Football Association has placed strict regulations to safeguard local footballers from taking illegal substances such as marijuana.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said districts would now test their players through a certified medical clinic working with Fiji FA.
A player was tested positive in the past week according to a medical report.
Patel, meanwhile, will leave for Russia on Friday for the OFC president’s election and next Wednesday’s FIFA Congress.
