FIJI has been encouraged to participate in a global coral bleaching survey that was highlighted in a Netflix documentary called Chasing Coral.

The documentary follows a team of marine biologists from the United States of America who travelled to different parts of the globe including Jamaica, Australia, American Samoa and New Caledonia, taking photographic evidence of corals dying from rising temperatures.

Images of coral bleaching across the globe between 2014 and 2017 had been featured in the film which was released earlier this year by Netflix.
