ELEVEN companies were today awarded grants under the National Export Strategy to help boost their business.

While handing out the grants, Fiji’s Minister for Industry, Trade, and Tourism Faiyaz Koya said the 11 companies were being assisted with the upgrading of infrastructure, procurement of value-adding machines and equipment to address supply-side constraints usually faced by exporters.

“The purpose of the NES is to encourage diversification and value addition of our exports, which provides vital support in the export value chain,” Mr Koya said.

He said those companies would receive export support of approximately $1.7million.
