VODAFONE Fiji Bati interim coach Matthew Adamson has called on his players to have faith and pray everyday to excel on the field of play.

Fiji Bati will take on Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Test match at Campbelltown Stadium in New South Wales, Australia later today.

“Being a Christian I have asked the boys in camp to pray every day from this day,” he said from Australia yesterday.

“We want the Fiji Bati boys to believe that they will win the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.”

“My big men with hearts of gold and strength have led from the front all week and I know Tui Kamikamica, Eloni Vunakece, Junior Roqica and Kane Evans embrace our warrior status.”

Adamson said the team was in the battle mode against PNG.

“The team is well balanced and has been led very professional by the team’s senior players of Jarryd and Kevin Naiqama have done a wonderful job both on and off the field in our preparation,” he said.

“PNG are tough and will play tough we are committed to keeping the focus on us.”

The clash starts at 6pm (Fiji Time).
