Fiji Australia Police bosses meet

Update: 11:41AM FIJI’S Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho yesterday received a courtesy visit from the Australian Federal Police’s Commander for International Deployment, Amanda Kate.
Director International Relations Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ulaiasi Ravula said discussions revolved around the capacity and capability assistance program for the region.
“In line with Commander Kate’s role with the Pacific Police Development Programme Regional, today’s visit enabled discussions to get underway with the Commissioner about training possibilities for Fiji and the region,” SSP Ravula said.
“Commander Kate is the head of the AFP arm of police training delivery for the region and her visit was appreciated by the Commissioner as it is in line with the his intent of exposing officers to training opportunities provided by our overseas counterparts.”
“Fijian officers have undergone training with the AFP and specific training for middle managers is an area the Commissioner is keen on exploring.”
