Fiji Airways Drua moves to top of NRC standings

THE Fiji Airways Drua side has moved to the top of the National Rugby Championship standings after the 34-31 win over Sydney Rays yesterday.

Fiji Drua and Queensland Country have 14 points each but the Drua have a better point differential.

The Senirusi Seruvakula-coached side faces New South Wales Country in Suva this week.

The Fiji Drua has played four matches in the competition already and has three more remaining.

After NSW Country, the Drua will host the Canberra Vikings who are currently ranked third, and then travel and face fourth-placed Western Force in their last match of the round robin competition.

The match against seventh-placed NSW Country could prove to be very important in terms of securing a berth in the semi-finals.

The Fiji Drua plays NSW Country at Suva’s ANZ Stadium at 3pm on Saturday,September 29.
