THE Fiji Airways 7s men’s team received their prize money from Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou.
The prize money is for the silver medal win at the Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast in Australia last month.
The 7s gladiators each received $7500 at Nasoqo house this afternoon.
Tuitubou thanked the players for their hard work and reminded the players never to lose hope.
“Many people view losing as a failure, especially the Fijian spectators, but each and every failure simply gets you one step closer to your goal,” he said.
Manager Jone Niurua thanked the Minister and the Government for the support rendered towards the team.
