SIR Michael Jones also known as ‘Ice Man’ and a former All Black arrived in Fiji today for the Viti Spinal Injuries Association Fiji Old Skool Ball.

He was part of the All Blacks side that won the first-ever World Cup and has played over 90 tests for the side.

Upon arrival, he then visited the homes of Aca Valetino and Sekonaia Kotobalavu who were both assisted by the association.

He then visited Suva Grammar School where he talked to a group of rugby players from different schools to share his journey and passion for rugby.

He reminded the students that they must always have character and should learn to stand alone.

” I want to remind everyone here that you possess greatness, never forget that,” Sir Michael said.

He said he was thankful to have had the opportunity to visit the school and be able to share his journey and hoped he inspired the future leaders and rugby players of this nation.

The Ice Man returns to New Zealand tomorrow.
