FIJI Electoral Commission chairperson Suresh Chandra said political parties have failed to see that an election was on the horizon.

He made this comments in relation to the panel discussion held by six political parties in Suva on Thursday.

Mr Chandra claimed the political leaders were making attempts to change the law instead of learning them.

“I am worried that these people do not seem to want to know what the current process is, but jump to conclusion and want to look like they are complaining,” he said.

Vice President of the National Federation Party, Seini Nabou, said they still had concerns to raise with the commission although they were told the meeting held in August would be their last meeting before the general elections.
