Elderly man faces 20 counts of sexual-related offences

A MAN in his 60s from Kadavu is expected to be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today charged with 20 counts of sexual-related offences.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the man was alleged to havae committed the offences between 2013 and 2018, involving seven victims aged between nine and 13 years old.
She said the accused was alleged to have sexually assaulted the victims when they came to his village canteen.
“The matter was reported this year and the accused has since been charged with 20 counts with offences ranging from rape, sexual assault and indecent assault,” Ms Naisoro said.
