Update: 4:50PM EID sets people free and allows them to draw attention away from themselves so that they focus on caring for others.
The comment was made by the Assistant Minister for Local Government, Housing and Environment, Lorna Eden at the Eid celebration at Nasinu Muslim Primary School today.
Muslims all over the world celebrated Eid at the weekend after 30 days of fasting in what is known as the holy month of Ramadan.
Ms Eden said Eid was about mending relationships and settling differences.
“The experiences of Eid allow all of us to practice love in action for the good of all citizens,” she said.
