Eastern Zone Rugby: LMS U17 create upsets

THE Lelean Memorial School Under-17 rugby team created one of the upsets in the Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union competition yesterday after beating Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) 10-6 in the fifth round of the competition.

RKS is the defending champion of the Coke Deans Trophy competition in the U16 grade, but the Davuilevu students outclassed them to win.

In the U18 grade, RKS thrashed LMS 35-0.

Queen Victoria School (QVS) U16 drew 10-all against LMS.

U15: QVS 65-0 Dilkusha Methodist High School.

QVS led 40-0 at half-time.

Other games will be played today, including the Southern Zone competition in Suva.

Meanwhile, Nasinu Kaji rugby will start at the AOG High School grounds from 8am today.
