THE Fiji Airways Drua team defeated Sydney Rays 34-31 in a comeback victory during the fourth round of the National Rugby Championship earlier this afternoon.

The Drua scored six tries while the Rays managed five.

Nippy fly-half Alivereti Veitokani scored their first try in the last five minutes of the first half with an unsuccessful conversion from Apisalome Waqatabu as they trailed 19-5 in the half time break.

The second half saw a different ball game for the Drua as coach Senirusi Seruvakula pointed out areas that needed to be improved.

Cyril Reece and Albert Tuisue scored a try each while Waqatabu scored a double and Veitokani scoring his second try.

Meanwhile in other games, the Canberra Vikings defeated the NSW Country Eagles 24-17, Western Force upsets Queensland Country 42-40 and Brisbane City beat Melbourne Rising 33-28.

The Drua will host the NSW Country Eagles this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva for the fifth round of the NRC.
