With a strong southerly wind behind their backs, the Sharks burst out of the blocks to take a 14-0 lead after 26 minutes.
THE Roosters silenced their critics and entered the winners’ circle with a rather convincing round two 30-12 defeat of Canterbury.
The Chooks entered the season as premiership favourites but were beaten from pillar to post after their shock round one loss to the Wests Tigers last week.
They bounced back in style, dispatching of the Bulldogs 30-12 at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.
Broncos shoot the Cowboys
THE Broncos put a week’s worth of criticism behind them to edge the Cowboys 24-20 at Suncorp Stadium.
The Broncos were in control for much of the game, but with scores at 24-20, the visitors looked to have pulled off a stunning comeback when Scott Bolton charged for the line only to bounce off the goalpost and lose the ball. Games continued last night.
