Cricket matches postponed due to unfavourable weather

MATCHES scheduled for today in the the ICC World T20 – East Asia-Pacific Qualifier have been postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions in Suva.

Cricket Fiji was scheduled to play Samoa while Vanuatu had a match lined up against PNG, however there had been light showers in the capital since the morning and match officials had no option but postpone the match as player’s safety is paramount.

The two matches will now be played tomorrow as no matches had been scheduled initially for Monday.

In matches yesterday, Fiji beat Vanuatu by three wickets and lost to PNG by 75 runs.
