A 36-YEAR-OLD man charged with found in possession of illicit drugs was remanded in custody today by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

It is alleged that Asish Kumar without lawful authority had in his possession 0.5 grams of methamphetamine.

The alleged incident occurred on September 14, in Nasinu.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Apenisa Keresoni has served full phase disclosures.

Magistrate Sufia Hamza has asked the defence counsel Avinesh Reddy to file a formal bail application.

The case has been adjourned to October 8.
