A MAN who was alleged to have sexually assaulted and raped seven girls has been further remanded in custody.
The 60-year-old man has been charged with eight counts of rape, four counts of sexual assault and three counts of indecent assault.
It is alleged that the seven victims were between the ages of nine and 13 years.
The accused appeared before Magistrate Timoci Qalinauci at the Suva Magistrates Court.
The matter has been transferred to the High Court in Suva.
He is also charged with one count of indecent assault, one count of sexual assault and three counts of indecently annoying a person.
This case will remain in the Suva Magistrates Court.
The alleged incident took place between 2011 and 2017 in Kadavu.
He will reappear in court on June 8.
