THE chief executive officer of Goundar Shipping has been granted bailed by Suva Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa.
Fifty-seven-year-old Subramani Goundar is charged with general dishonesty causing a loss.
He is alleged to have dishonestly caused a loss to freight services by issuing a dishonoured cheque to the amount of $557.75 on September 18, 2014,in Suva.
Defence lawyer Andrew Liverpool had made the bail application which was granted with two sureties who have signed a surety bond of $300.
The case has been adjourned to September 26 for a plea.
