Update: 6:00PM THEY are married with two children to look after and they did not let their responsibilities of their full time teaching jobs get in the way of achieving their goal of graduating at the University of the South Pacific today with Masters in Education.
The Rakiraki based secondary school teachers aim to prioritise education, wherever they are.
Mr Naidu who teaches at Penang Sangam High School said the taste of achievements despite the challenges, was sweet.
“We were online students but when we started with our Masters, we had to travel to Lautoka for a few lectures and that was challenging especially with the number of responsibilities we had,” he said.
Mr Naidu said today was the second most happiest day of his life besides meeting his wife in 2002 which he says was ‘love at first sight’.
Meanwhile Mrs Naidu teaches at Rakiraki Public High School and was emotional about their achievements.
“I am overjoyed right now because my husband has always helped and supported me,” she said.
She said while prioritising their children, work and family life, they used any spare time they got to work on assignments and tasks.
