THE Fiji Campus Crusade for Christ hosted a one-week conference to allow university students to hear about the Word of God in different and creative methods. Miss World Fiji 2017 and Student Life Campus staff member, Nanise Rainima said the conference which was titled “Voyagers Conference” also enabled the participants to take the Word of God and put it into practice.
She said the conference was an opportunity for students to not only learn of the missionary work that was done, but to also learn it and put it into practice.
She said the university students also had an opportunity to go out into the communities and take part in community outreach programs.
“Every year we have a training conference for students and it gives them an opportunity each day in a week to go out to communities and do this,” she said.
“It’s a training conference and it goes well into the strategy that we use throughout the year which is wind and sand and we would love to give opportunities to students to hear about the Gospel in different and creative methods.
“This year we had a lot of participants compared to the previous years but slowly we are trying to develop that.”
She said some of the representatives from the different Pacific Island nations included Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tokelau, and Kiribati where Fiji was the biggest contingent present.
She said there were plans in the future to hold more conferences to engage the students to know more about the missionary work.
