COMPLAINTS have been received by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) concerning rude bumper stickers on certain vehicles.

In a statement issued today LTA’s board chairperson Vijay Maharaj said the authority would not hesitate to have action taken against the driver or vehicle owners who have such decals pasted on their vehicles.

“When putting such stickers please be mindful of the people that will be reading or seeing it, road users are of all age and ethnicity we must respect them,” he said.

He added the stickers which had profanity gave rise to misogynistic and sexist mentality which the authority does not condone.

Meanwhile Mr Maharaj has urged other road users to play their part and text the details of vehicles with explicit stickers to 582.
