Update: 4:59PM NAOMI Navuga came, saw and conquered in her first run at the ANZ Stadium today.

The Ba lass is the lone athlete from Nukuloa College to the Coca Cola Games and was at the Athletics Fiji Easter Games to get a feel of the tracks.
“I was very frightened when I first saw the ANZ Stadium today and told my teacher that I wasn’t sure,” Navuga said.
“But after I won my heats I felt very brave.”
A junior athlete, she fended off well known sprinters in Amele Navabale and Marica Korovulavula of Adi Cakobau School and Adriana Tatukivei of St. Joseph’s Secondary School to win the women’s 100m finals today.
With a time of 12.73seconds, Navuga is now one of the fastest high school girls in the 100m events.
Navuga came second to two ACS athletes in the 200m event, the other event she is competing in at next months Coca Cola Games.
