Dukes award goes to highlands

YOUTHS joined forces with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and the Fiji Police Force to conduct community service works in the western highlands recently.According to a statement from the Government, the approximately 30 young people worked at the Ratu Nalewavada Primary School in Nausori Highland.

The youths were  members of the Providing Young Generation Movement In Every Situation (PYGMIES) Youth Club who are part of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award.

They were conducting works as part of the DEIA’s ‘Adventurous Journey and Community Service’ program.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports coordinates the DEIA program.
