Update: 5:12PM A ROBUST debate and positive engagement between construction industry operators, relevant authorities and policy makers is expected when they meet in June this year.

President of the Construction Industry Council, Gordon
Jenkins stressed this in a statement issued today.

Mr Jenkins said the Council has agreed to several
key topical issues that will shape discussions during their upcoming conference
scheduled for June 14 -16 at the Warwick Resort and Spa on the Coral Coast.

“The CIC conference planning committee has been
working tirelessly on carefully selecting key relevant issues that will
generate debate and interactions by delegates during the conference,” Mr
Jenkins said.

He adds that while there are many issues affecting
various components of the industry, these will have to be fine-tuned to at
least five key topics.

“The conference’s overall objective will be to also
come up with specific resolutions that lead to effective long term solutions
that will benefit the industry and the economy,” he said.
