Changes allowed for growth and expansion: Khan

FIJI Airports executive chairman Faiz Khan says the company will not have been able to grow and expand its services without the support of the Government.
While speaking at the rebranding of the company’s name from Airports Fiji Limited to Fiji Airports in Nadi last night, he said the company was 100 per cent Government-owned and its success reflected the support provided by the State.
He said the Airport Modernisation Act had allowed the company to achieve market floor rental rates.
”Without all of these changes, we would not have been able to come this far,” Mr Khan said.
At the same official event, Fiji’s Attorney General and Minister for Aviation Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the significance of this rebranding was obviously branding.
“As you all know, our national airline flies through this airport and it is known as Fiji Airways so it’s better for you to be known as Fiji Airports,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
