FIJI’S Ministry of Health and Medical Services together with WOWS Kids Fiji has organised awareness activities through the month of August on the early signs of childhood cancer.

President Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote has urged parents to live a healthier life for the sake of their children.

Speaking at the launch of the child cancer awareness month today, he also noted the importance of early detection.

“Let us work together to ensure that our children receive the best health care and support they can get. Remember cancer does not discriminate, let us live a healthy life style,” he said.

This year’s awareness campaign theme is ‘Cancer does not discriminate – Choose to Live’.
