THE Bluelight Southern and Eastern Division camp organized by the Fiji Police Force was to help young men stay away from committing crimes.

This was highlighted by the Fiji Police Force Director Community Policing, Senior Superintendent of Police, Waqa Cavuilati after the closing of the camp earlier today.

He said the 50 young men who were part of the training were from the Suva-Nausori corridor.

“This was just to empower these young people to be aware of their potentials and what they can become in future to keep away from committing crimes,” he said.

He added the young men were needed to become good role models in their various communities.

Bluelight president, Zecharia Delaivuna said attending the one week camp allowed him to change his attitude and become a more matured person.

“Coming to this camp, especially for myself, I was expecting a little information just to change a bit of my attitude but this one week camp alone made me change my vision and my whole attitude towards everything I see,” he said.
