THE French Embassy in Suva is looking to harness new business and investment opportunities between Fiji and France in several lucrative sectors.
These efforts will likely ignite more investment from French companies and businesses in Fiji – riding on the unprecedented growth of the Fijian economy.
But to do this – the French Embassy has first sought to iron out issues relating to the business environment and potential areas to be tapped into.
This saw the first Franco-Fiji Business Dialogue organised by the French Embassy in Suva yesterday attended by several multinational French companies operating in the country and the Pacific along with a few Fijian business representatives.
French Ambassador Sujiro Seam said they provided the opportunity to assist French and Fijian companies further develop their line of businesses through dialogue.
“When I arrived six months ago, I found out that there was no forum for Fijian and French companies to exchange and discuss issues,” Mr Seam said.
“So I thought it would be interesting to provide this opportunity for French and Fijian companies to meet and discuss issues of importance for them.”
