THE owner of a bus which caught fire in Lautoka last week is calling on authorities to conduct tests on all buses being imported into the country to ascertain the flammability of interior materials.

Managing director of Fiji Transport Company Limited Anil Singh said he was concerned about the bus fire event involving his vehicle.

“I am worried because according to the bus driver, the fire spread quite quickly through the bus and it was focussed mainly on the upper part of the cabin and front of the bus,” he claimed.
