Burst main disrupts North water supply

Update: 3:05PM A BURST main situated across the Doguru River in Labasa has resulted in an interruption of water supply to parts of the town.
According to a statement issued by the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) this has caused low water pressure to no water at times for these places from last night until further notice.
The affected places include Labasa Reticulation System, Basoga, Vunivau, Boubale, Urata, Dreketilailai, Boca, Vatunibale, Vaturekuka, Soasoa, Cawaira, Batinikama, Siberia, Rara Housing, Saint Augustine, Tabucola, Bocalevu and Qaloyaga.
WAF says repair works to the burst main will commerce once the water levels at the Doguru River recede and water carts will be on standby to service the affected areas as and when the need arises.
