Bulldogs to start preparations for Aborigines match

THE Fairtrade Makoi Bulldogs will resume training next week for next month’s match against the visiting Australian Aborigines.
Makoi Bulldogs which lost to the KBL Saru Dragons 18-20 in the 2014 Vodafone Cup Top 8 final last week is eager to face the Aborigines on October 27.
Yesterday, the team officials and players were treated to a feast in honour of their performance in the Vodafone Cup competition.
Makoi Bulldogs coach Maika Vunivere said they had a tough season with a lot of obstacles on their way.
“We were beaten twice by Saru Dragons, twice by newcomers Ra Roosters and Sabeto Roosters but we really appreciate the players and thank them for their hard work through which we defeated Sabeto Roosters in the semi-finals,” Vunivere said.
“We will start training from next week and we have some programs which we will be working on during the off season.”
Vunivere thanked Fairtrade Auto Limited, Ram Sami and Sons, YMCA and other individual donors for their support.
