THE 2018 Digicel Nadi Bula Festival was officially opened last night at Prince Charles Park.

Minister for Local Government, Parveen Kumar while officiating at the event congratulated the Bula Festival Committee for hosting the 58th festival, which is the country’s only unbroken festival.

“From the viewpoint of township development, the festivals have allowed an opportunity to identify and work towards community projects and programs,” Mr Kumar noted.

The opening of the week-long festival included its first public judging for Queen and King contestants.
