Built to last the journey

FROM the beginning, Chevrolet has focused on making the best possible vehicle to meet every customer’s needs.
After building specialised trucks to serve its factory, Chevrolet introduced its first trucks to customers in 1918. They included the half-tonne light delivery and the 1918 one-ton truck. Both were offered with an open chassis behind the windshield that allowed customers to choose between purchasing or building a specialised body for their vocation.
A century later, customer choice continues to drive Chevy trucks. Chevrolet is still the only manufacturer to offer customers a three-truck portfolio — featuring the Colorado — and a full line of special editions, giving customers more options for the perfect truck to fit their needs and personal style.
The latest additions to the Chevrolet trucks portfolio of special editions, the 2018 Colorado Centennial editions feature design elements inspired by Chevy trucks throughout history, including a distinctive centennial blue paint colour and exclusive heritage bowtie emblems and 100 year badges inspired by colours and design cues found on early Chevrolet trucks.
“The Colorado Centennial Editions are a result of collaboration between Chevrolet design, engineering and marketing, to commemorate the history of Chevy trucks,” Chevrolet trucks exterior design director Rich Scheer said.
General manager international says: “To celebrate our 100th anniversary of trucks, we wanted to launch a model that our customers would love.
“We have taken an award-winning truck in the 2018 Colorado and bettered it with design cues and badges from our 100-year heritage. This is a truck that our customers will be proud to own and drive.”
Many of our customers are long-term Chevrolet owners. It is a testament to the quality of the brand that some of them are still driving trucks that are many generations old. With the 2018 Colorado Centennial Edition, we have built a truck that we believe our multi-generational Chevrolet owners will thoroughly enjoy.”
With a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), the 2018 Colorado Centennial edition produces 147 kW (200 PS) of power at 3600 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at a low 2000 rpm.
The Duramax engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that allows the driver to shift from automatic to manual mode whenever more fun is needed.
To celebrate, a total of eight variants of Colorado are now available for customers to view and test drive.
Customers looking to test drive the 2018 Colorado Centennial Edition can do so at Vision Motors showroom in Karsanji St Suva, Nadi and Labasa at a time convenient to them..
In addition, customers will benefit from Chevrolet complete care. The after-sales service program includes 24/7 roadside assistance, a standard three-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty, our unique ‘buy with confidence — five years or ¼ million km powertrain warranty’, and Chevy plus services.
