Great Pacific Hotel Ba River Bluez rugby team defeated Sasa 19-3 to earn a spot in the final of the Ba rugby weekly competition on Saturday.
Tireless number eight Voase Ratudina and livewire prop Afila Kaloni scored a try each while fly half Gaberieli Walu added the extras with two conversions and a drop goal.
The Votua-based team outclassed their oppositions in all facets of the game and denied Sasa from crossing the tryline.
Bluez dominated the possession and fully utilised their scoring opportunities to secure a place in the final.
Tournament official Salestino Gukirewa said Ba River would wait for the outcome of the Nailaga and Sorokoba to determine their opponents in the final.
He said the final would also wrap-up the rugby season for Ba rugby.
“The semi-final between Sorokoba and Nailaga will be exciting because both teams will want to play in the final,” he said.
“The two sides had earlier met but the game was called off due to some unforseen circumstances.
“Both teams have prepared well for this important game.”
Sorokoba will be out to prove its worth after winning the Elisha Engineering Challenge Shield last month.
Gukirewa said the challenge was for Nailaga and Ba River to stop Sorokoba being crowned the 2014 undisputed champion of Ba rugby.
